This stainless steel side-locking bar also replaces the traditional pin and tumbler design that is particularly vulnerable to lock bumping attacks. The cylinder uses two steel balls inserted into the front of the key face to provide improved drill resistance.

With two separate lock cylinders,this Kwikset key control deadbolt is ideal for property managers. It allows for more tenant key cuts than a traditional master key system,and the tenant key will never fit into the property manager cylinder--which is concealed.

To access the key control cylinder:
Insert the SmartKey Tool into the slot at the bottom of the cylinder cap.
Rotate cover clockwise to expose the key control cylinder. Now you have access to the key control cylinder.
Use the SmartKey Tool to rotate cylinder cap counter-clockwise back to the user’s keyway when you’re done.
