Cheap Lumber
« on: February 10, 2012, 12:41:50 PM »
My job site is mostly complete. I have lumber left over. Anyone want some?
One unit of 20' 2x4 (117 pieces)
One unit of 20' 2x6 (100 pieces)
One unit of 92 5/8" 2x4
One unit of 8.25" hardi siding (236 pieces)
All bundled, will not separate.
You haul.

Build yourself a BIG shed for the property.  I hear you don't need any permits for a shed   ???

#$%@! I am required to build a shed for the trash cans and bike parking. It is a written requirement in the building permit and is placed in the parking lot permit. But the planning department wanted to approve of it ANYWAY.
A permit for running the gutter lines across the sidewalk to the street only took 8 days! Another permit for water ;ome to the PERMITTED fire sprinklers took four weeks to permit.
I am now working on which ones of my properties could use new siding. Either way I have a pallet of 2x4 and 2x6 that just aren't needed. One heck of a fence, I guess.

I agree with Gordon; just make sure all the "critters" are inside, with no tools.

I bought a Package deal on the construction. The company doesn't want it back. I got a real good deal, so I'm not complaining.
I'm thinking of where I could use the siding. That seems to be enough to do 140 linear feet of single story siding.
I could use less than half of the 2x4 shorties to build my bike barn. But the rest will go to waste if I don't find a buyer.

Sure wish you were closer... I'd work a deal with you for it.  Sweetie and I are strongly considering building another personal residence.

Ore,
How much do you want for all this stuff?  Do the containers come with it?  Could I just get a freight hauler to load the containers and bring em to SC?

I've been advertising it at $3000. I think shipping would kill it. They are not in containers. just wrapped and pallet.
